I grew up in Northern New Jersey, farm country.  We had a large garden and a chicken coop in the backyard. Food was always fresh and locally grown. Dinner was a protein, vegetable and rice or potatoes.  My grandmother was a great cook as well as my mother – my skill of cooking has been passed down from these talented home chefs. I hold a degree from Johnson and Wales and spent 10 years cooking professionally. Now I cook for fun.
